President: Rex Loesby
Mr. Loesby is a registered professional mining engineer with over 30 years experience in the mining and finance industries. He received his Mining Engineering degree and Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Washington. His resource development experience has included molybdenum, copper, gold, silver, coal and industrial minerals projects.
Chairman of the Board: Stanley Mourin
Mr. Mourin has had a major presence in the Canadian mining finance business for over 35 years. He owned a brokerage firm that financed over 200 junior exploration companies over that period.
Vice President: Wayne Holmstead
Mr. Holmstead has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto and has been working in the exploration and mining industry for 30 years. He worked for an uranium exploration company for 7 years before opening an exploration consulting business that managed mineral exploration projects throughout Canada. He is one of the co-founders of the MacLeod Lake property.
Director: Charles E. Stott
Mr. Stott has a degree in mining engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a law degree from the University of California, Hastings. He was President of AMAX’s Alloy Division where he was responsible for management of US molybdenum operations including the Climax and Henderson Mines in Colorado, molybdenum conversion plants in Iowa and Pennsylvania, and molybdenum sales in the Western Hemisphere. President & CEO of AMAX Gold where he led the effort to raise $126 million in an IPO, obtained a NYSE listing, and was responsible for the construction and operation of the Sleeper Gold Mine in Nevada. Mr. Stott serves as the current non-executive Chairman of the Board of Apollo Gold and is a Director of Hazen Research, Inc. He is a former Director of Getchell Gold Corporation, and is a Trustee Emeritus of the Colorado School of Mines.
Director: Steve Vaughn
Mr. Vaughan is a lawyer with the Toronto law firm of McMillan Binch Mendelsohn LLP. He is a mining/securities law specialist with over 35 years experience.
Director: Edward Thompson
Mr. Thompson is a mining engineer with over 45 years experience in mineral exploration and junior mining company management. He received his Engineering Geology degree and Masters degree in Economic Geology from the University of Toronto. He served as Chairman of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada between 1977 and 1979. He is currently Chairman of Chariot Resources and Golden Queen Mining Company and he serves on the Board of Directors of five other junior companies including Western Troy. He served as Chairman of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada in 2003.
Director: Milton Klyman
Mr. Klyman has served as a director of Agnico Eagle Mines for more than 30 years. Mr. Klyman is a Chartered Accountant who resides in Toronto, Canada.
Director: Nadim Wakeam
Mr. Wakeam is a lawyer with the law firm Blaney McMurtry in Toronto, Canada. He is also Western Troy's corporate council.
